How to Find Peace in the Midst of COVID-19 Chaos
If you are feeling afraid and overwhelmed by the COVID-19 chaos, I do have good news for you. You can CHOOSE to remain at peace while believing that everything will eventually turn out fine.
With everything that’s going on in the world at the moment there’s a lot of fear and uncertainty in our hearts right now. All this chaos and madness can make us feel afraid and overwhelmed. If there were ever a time when we needed to find peace in our hearts, it’s now.
Here are 4 ways you can find peace in the midst of the COVID-19 chaos:
1. Know that all problems have an expiration date
Just as a problem has a beginning date, it must also by default have an end date. We will face many challenges in our lives, COVID-19 is not the first nor will it be the last for most of us. But just like all the other challenges in our lives, this too, shall pass. We shall overcome.
2. Turn off the noise
Forget about what’s on the news and social media. Forget about what the leaders of the world and the instant experts are telling you. Forget about what the many influencers and celebrities have to say about COVID-19. Forget about all anyone has to stay.
Instead focus on that voice inside your heart. The one who’s guided you all your life. That voice is inside you and is waiting to speak to you. Turn off the noise and tune into that still small voice that lives in you and let its’ message of hope and truth fill your heart with peace.
3. Stand up to fear
Take a few steps back and notice everything that’s happening all around you. Notice how fast fear is currently moving and how many people have already fallen, and continue to fall into its many traps.
Notice the anger and the many judgments people are placing on others, especially on social media. Many are using their own hidden fears and unhealed traumas to cause others to feel fearful, terrified, and ashamed.
Pay attention to everything that’s happening all around you. And no matter what happens, do let anything or anyone pull you down into fear. When you feel fear rising in your heart, go to the nearest mirror and look fear dead in its eyes and say this… “Not in my heart and not in my home. You are not welcome here! Go to hell! I Will not live in fear!”
4. Remember who you are
Who are you? Remind yourself. If you can’t remember, call a family member, a friend or someone who knows you and ask them to remind you. Have you been through any challenges before? Did it take you out or are you still standing? This is a good time to go back to some of those core values and beliefs and remind yourself of who you are!
