Optometry Divas® Hosts First-of-its-Kind Special Event for Women in Eye Care
Orlando, Florida, January 1, 2021 — Optometry Divas, a professional organization with the mission, to empower, connect and promote the success of women Optometrists is hosting an event for women in the field of optometry: a conference and retreat in one.
The first of its kind for women in optometry, this event, entitled “Escape to Serenity,” is an educational retreat that allows Optometrists and Staff to experience coursework for continuing education credits (COPE) and to encourage personal and business growth. There will also be coursework related to eye exam procedures and techniques, as well as discussions and learning opportunities regarding the latest advances in optometry.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for women in optometry to connect, as well as to empower each other to learn and grow in our professions, in a beautiful environment that allows us all to Relax, Rejuvenate and Recharge,” said Dr. Lauretta Justin, OD, Optometry Divas’ Founder. “There’s been a huge interest in doing an event like this, and we’re excited to see the positive feedback we’ve received since we first announced it.”
The educational retreat offers 12 hours of COPE credits and 12 hours of staff development courses, as well as a self-defense class, a “CEO of YOU” practice management boot camp, and an All-White Dinner for the Saturday night banquet. Event organizers hope that the Escape to Serenity retreat fosters lasting friendships between like-minded women in Optometry, and that participants leave empowered with the confidence and skills for success.
The event takes place from August 13th to 15th, 2021, at Safety Harbor Resorts and Spa in Florida, located at 105 North Bayshore Dr., Safety Harbor, FL 34695.
