Develop a Winning Strategy from the CEO of YOU™!

Your strategy, your success! Developing a strategy is a very important step to your success.  I don’t recommend skipping it or attempting it alone.  It’s best to find someone who’s been where you want to go and follow their track.  You will save a lot of time and money by enlisting the help of, mentors, advisors, and coaches. Take it from me, don’t go it alone, it’s too costly.

Your strategy should include the following components:

  1. Leadership: In this section, you’ll develop and communicate your Mission; Vision; and Purpose (MVP) and establish the leadership of your practice. Write your MVP in plain language and communicate it to your team as often as possible with passion and enthusiasm. You should also include an organizational chart in this section.  An organizational chart will help establish the structure of your practice, and it communicates the chain of command.
  2. Administration: In this section describe how your administrative department will manage the following five areas of the business: Information Technology, human resources and payroll, Financial Metrics/ benchmarking, communication system, business development, and protection.
  3. Operations: In this section describe the processes and resources that you’ll use to produce the highest quality products and services as efficiently as possible. This will become your Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual.  Your SOP will cover the following five key areas in detail: Physical location description, Procedural outline for all job tasks, Equipment Inventory, Product inventory, and Product/service delivery.
  4. Promotions: Your promotional plan will detail the following five key areas: The patient experience process from A-Z, Brand loyalty development, Direct marketing, Public relations, and Advertising.
  5. Sales: This section should address the following: Lead generation and capture, Merchandising, Sales philosophy and processes, Inventory management, and Pricing strategy.

Your strategy is your pathway to success.  As you continue to take action toward your goals, enlist the help of your support team. This process can help you achieve your goals quickly and easily. Remember, success leaves clues, and your team may have the clues you need to achieve your goals quickly.  In the next publication, I will review step 3, how to develop a winning team.

Until then, dream big, take risks, and become the CEO of YOU™!  I’d love to hear your thoughts, email me your comments!
